“Our aim is to ensure that Thanet’s people are supported to be well and healthy in their own homes and communities, by delivering a connected system, designed and delivered around local people, located in natural neighbourhoods.”  (Mission statement of the Thanet Integrated Health and Social Care Agreement)

NHS Thanet Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has organised an event where patients will have the opportunity to learn more about the move towards integrated care in Thanet.

The event will also help local people focus on Thanet-wide priorities as well as share their views on local health and social care services. The priorities are:

  • Mental health
  • Children
  • Inequalities and frailty

This event will be useful for anyone who uses health and social care services, has relatives or friends who do, or who has an interest in health and social care. It is open to all members of the public.

Event details

  • Thursday, 19 May 2016, 09.30-13.00
  • The GloGen Centre, unit 2, Westwood Business Park, Strasbourg Street, Margate, CT9 4JJ.

There will be workshops, in which participants will think about the priorities indicated above. We’ll require all attendees to choose which workshops they would like to attend in advance of the day.

So that we can plan our event effectively please email thanet.ccg@nhs.net or call 03000 424615  by Thursday 12 May.

“We have to make sure that all the different agencies that are responsible for a patient’s health and care work together. That may mean sharing information, sharing ideas, and getting a real grasp of what’s happening.”

Dr Tony Martin, Clinical Chair of NHS Thanet Clinical Commissioning Group.
