Thanet Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is inviting everyone who lives in the area to come along to one of two open workshops on Thursday 15 November 2012 in Margate.
Thanet GPs are now more closely involved in the decision-making processes and budgets relating to healthcare in the area. Thanet CCGs team of health professionals is preparing its plans for 2013/14 and they would like to know the views of the general public on how services should be delivered locally. The team will outline their progress so far in planning for the health needs and priorities of the community.
The Workshops will be held at the Global Generation Centre in Westwood Business Park at 10.30am to 1.30pm and 6.30pm to 9.30pm. Refreshments will be provided and there is adjacent free parking.
The TCCG team are also hoping that people will join the Thanet Health Network, an online forum which will also provide residents with a continuing opportunity to get involved and have their say as well as providing regular information about the CCG and healthcare topics.
Dr Tony Martin, Chairman of the Thanet CCG said: “As GPs and clinicians we are excited about the way the NHS is changing because it means that we can plan services that are specifically for Thanet, but we need to make sure that we get our commissioning right. So if you can spare the time, please come along on 15th November, we need to hear the views of as many people as possible before we finalise our plans for 2013/14”.
Places can be booked by contacting Karen Maxted on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01843 209355.
