An award-winning NHS website, which has helped thousands of people in east Kent find the right place to go for treatment, is celebrating its fifth birthday.

Health Help Now was developed in 2013 by Kent and Medway GPs, hospital doctors, paramedics and other health professionals and has been used more than 375,000 times across Kent and Medway.

Relaunched in the summer, patients can get details on the best place to go when they are ill or injured in just a few minutes, making it even easier to use than before.

Free to use, Health Help Now is available on www.healthhelpnow.nhs.uk and can also be downloaded to your iPhone or Android phone. Just search for Health Help Now on Google Play or the App Store.

Health Help Now can help you find out what to do if you have a baby with a high temperature, a child who is being sick or has hurt themselves, a teenager who is feeling low or an adult with joint pain.

It has tailored advice for different age groups, and shows the nearest services and whether they are open or closed, with directions. It can help you find out if you need to see a doctor, pharmacist or use a minor injuries service.

There is information and advice for people of all ages. All you need to do is put in your symptoms, age bracket and postcode and let Health Help Now do the rest.

The app links to One You, as well as the WaitLess app that shows waiting times for treatment for minor injuries in east Kent.
